Welcome to Middle Farm Cottages

Here in the heart of rural Dorset, we have 4 fully renovated and equipped luxurious farm cottages. Since our first cottage was renovated back in 1989, we have had hundreds of guests, both English and international come and stay, whom have been immensely happy and left fully refreshed (the comments at the bottom of each page are taken from our actual comments book).

Life here in Fifehead Magdalen is rather relaxed, surrounded by the countryside and within walking distance to a local river for fishing. Sometimes it seems hard to want to do anything else but enjoy the surroundings. Yet our cottages are more than comfortable, and relaxing in the spacious living rooms seems special, even on rainy days.

Middle Farm is a fully working family run farm growing wheat and other cereal crops, we also have around 30 in calf cows. We consider ourselves to be "Eco Friendly" and are members of the DEFRA Countryside Stewardship Scheme. Middle Farm is such a haven for wildlife, Tree Sparrows have chosen Middle Farm to breed after an absence in Dorset of over 15 years. The Farm is also home to a other animals, such as Kingfishers, Owls, water voles and even Otters! We feel conserving our country’s natural habitat for our native flora and fauna to be very important.

We are ideally located for the majority of tourist attractions within Dorset and on the Wiltshire border as well: see our “things to do” page for more information. There are plenty of spectacular walks in the local area, so please feel free to bring your dogs with you, as PETS ARE ALLOWED.
